Dehiwala flyover construction: Alternative roads for motorists

Police Headquarters, Colombo has informed that the Galle Road from Malwatte road junction to Kawdana road junction will be closed for traffic entering and leaving Colombo and also the road between Karagampitiya junction along Hill Street and Station road junction on September 19 and 21 between 10.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m. to following day in view of construction activities on the Dehiwala flyover bridge.



Heavy vehicles such as lorries, containers and bowsers entering and leaving Colombo may use the stretch of road to and from Galle road Katubedda junction, Piliyandala road, Piliyandala junction, Kohuwala junction and Pamankada bridge.

All buses should use the road to and from Galle road, Temples road junction, Temples road, Aththidiya road, Bellanthota light signal junction, Nadimala road, Nadimala, Hill Street, Karagampitiya junction, Zoo road, Hospital road, Williams junction and to Colombo and back light vehicles, leaving Colombo may use the Galle road from Malwatte road junction.

Malwatte road, Zoo road, Karagampitiya junction, Hill Street, Union Area, Kawdana road and then to Galle road. Light vehicles entering Colombo may use the Galle road, Kawdana road Junction, Kawdana road, Dharmalankara Mawatha, Hill Street, Karagampitiya Junction, Zoo road, Hospital road, Williams junction and to Galle road back again.
