Hatton UC Chairman quits CWC to join UPFA
A senior member of the CWC and current Chairman of Hatton-Dikoya Urban Council, Dr. A Nandakumar has decided to resign from the Ceylon Workers’ Congress, due to personal reasons. Dr. Nandakumar has informed the CWC leadership regarding this, though a letter sent the main headquarters of the CWC, Saumya Bhavan, sources within the party said.

Mervyn asked to explain himself
President Mahinda Rajapaksa has requested SLFP General Secretary, Minister Maithripala Sirisena to call upon Minister Mervyn Silva to give an explanation regarding a statement he made to the media, party sources told Ada Derana.
