The Singer inter-schools rugby season will kick off today with a match between defending Champions St Peter’s College and Dharmaraja College at Bambalapitiya.

The Peterites will be led by flanker Poornaka Delpechitra while prop forward D.P. Gunathileke will lead Dharmaraja.

Delpechitra has six other senior players and the team will be looking to open the season on a winning note.

On the other hand the Rajans who gained a promotion to the Division 1A category this year will face a daunting task to prevent their opponents running away with a big win.
